The method involves connecting a write-read device (SLG) with an industrial control device, and detecting one of contactless readable transponders (TR1-TR4) by the write-read device in a detection phase. An identification number (ID) of the transponder is stored in a holding register (TH) of the rear-write device at the beginning of a holding phase. Other transponders are ignored by the write-read device in the holding phase, and the identification number of the transponder is deleted from the holding register for completing the holding phase. An independent claim is also included for a write-read device.
