The present invention is to provide a rice cooker using gas and electricity, wherein the rice cooker uses gas during cooking of the rice and electricity during warming of the cooked rice, thereby improving energy efficiency and securing convenience. To achieve this, the rice cooker of the present invention comprises: a body supporting the structure of the overall rice cooker; a mounting part formed in the body, the diameter of the mounting part being increased from the bottom end toward the top end; a container having the same shape as the mounting part, the container containing rice and water for cooking rice therein; a lid coupled with the top end of the container; a support end selectively protruded from a lower portion of the mounting part, the support end supporting the container while being protruded to thereby form a communication space between the container and the mounting part; a gas burner fixed to the body under the mounting part; an electrical heater for applying heat to the container through a lateral surface of the mounting part; and a controller for controlling the position of the support end, the operation of the gas burner, and the operation of the electrical heater. |
