PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source unit, a light source device and an image display device capable of achieving high luminance while suppressing enlargement of the device, and easily achieving a structure corresponding to necessary luminance or shape.SOLUTION: A light source unit includes: a light source part; an aspherical reflection surface; a plane reflection part; and a support part. The light source part has one or more solid light sources capable of emitting the rays of light having a predetermined wavelength region as outgoing light. The aspherical reflection surface is configured to reflect and converge the outgoing light from one or more solid light sources. The plane reflection part has a plane reflection surface for reflecting the outgoing light reflected on the aspherical reflection surface to a predetermined point on a light emitting body which is excited by the outgoing light and emits visible light having a longer wavelength region than the wavelength of the outgoing light such that the reflected outgoing light converges on the predetermined point. The support part is configured to support the light source part, the aspherical reflection surface and the plane reflection part as one unit.
