PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor light-emitting device having a structure in which a translucent resin layer is arranged only on a top face of an element substrate of the semiconductor light-emitting element, which has less color unevenness of front light and less color unevenness caused by an emission angle.SOLUTION: In a semiconductor light-emitting element, a lateral face 8 of a translucent resin layer 3 inclines so as to connect an end of an element substrate 1 and a lateral face of a phosphor-containing layer 4. An inclined lateral face 8 of the translucent resin layer 3 covers an end face of the phosphor-containing layer 4. Because a thickness of the phosphor-containing layer 4 is uniform, color unevenness of a top face can be prevented. In addition, fluorescent light emitted from the end face of the phosphor-containing layer 4 can be emitted from the end face 8 by being mixed with light from a semiconductor epitaxial layer 2, which advances in the translucent resin layer 3. Accordingly, a semiconductor light-emitting device having less color unevenness of front light and less color unevenness caused by an emission angle. |
