PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an accuracy of detecting an occupant.SOLUTION: An inverted type movable body of this invention includes: a wheel; a base 5 for holding the wheel in a movable manner; a step cover 3 connected to an upper part of the base 5 and allowing an occupant to board thereon; an elastic element 8 connected to the upper part of the base 5 and elastically supporting the step cover 3; a detection part 7 provided between the base 5 and the step cover 3, and detecting a pressing force from the step cover, caused by that the elastic element 8 elastically deforms by the boarding of the occupant to push down the step cover 3; and a control part 20 performing inversion control by driving the wheel 4 according to the detection of the pressing force by the detection part 7. The step cover 3 is connected to the base 5 by a hinge 6. |
