PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide friction welding equipment in which a heating coil can be held at a regular position even if receiving Lorentz force during preheating, and consequently, correctly preheats joint surfaces of joint members to a target temperature and enables the joint members to be jointed under ideal conditions by a friction welding method.SOLUTION: In the friction welding equipment, a heating coil 5 is inserted between right and left joint members W and preheats the joint members W by electromagnetic induction action. A regulation member 20 is provided so as to expand towards the direction of insertion of the heating coil 5, a regulation rod 11 provided on one side of the heating coil 5 is abutted on the inner surface of the regulation member 20, whereby position displacement of the heating coil is regulated when receiving Lorentz force generated by electromagnetic induction action. |
