PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus configured to allow enlargement at an arbitrary magnification, while preventing degradation in image quality and increase in processing time during image processing.SOLUTION: A television receiver includes: an edge gradient direction setting part for setting an edge gradient direction in an interpolation pixel by use of an input pixel in a reference block; a temporary reference coordinate setting part (65) for setting four reference pixels as apexes of a parallelogram having two sides formed along a direction vertical to the edge gradient direction; a reference pixel value setting part (66) for setting a reference pixel value being a density value of the reference pixel by use of the input pixel in the reference block, regardless of whether the reference pixel is located inside or outside the reference block; and an interpolation pixel value calculation part (67) for calculating a density value of the interpolation pixel by use of the reference pixel values in the four reference pixels. |
