PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reading device for enabling a user to view a member to be read and a light beam with which the member to be read is irradiated.SOLUTION: A reading auxiliary member 2 attachably/detachably mounted on a scanner main body 1 which reads a bar code 7 by irradiating the bar code 7 with a laser beam R includes: a reflection part 15 as an optical path changing part for changing an irradiating direction of the laser beam R; a bar code 7 to be irradiated with the laser beam R whose irradiating direction has been changed by the reflection part 15; and a viewing part 16 for viewing the laser beam R with which the bar code 7 is irradiated. Therefore, even when the bar code 7 is covered with a reading auxiliary member 2 in the case of reading the bar code 7 by attaching the reading auxiliary member 2 to the scanner main body 1, the bar code 7 and the laser beam R with which the bar code is irradiated can be surely and satisfactorily viewed via the viewing part 16. |
