A method for predicting the risk of osteoporosis in the patients with systemic lupus erythematosus comprises the clinical examination, the X-ray imaging, and the assay for cartilaginous oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) and sulfurized glycosamineglycans (GAG). The levels of COMP >920 ng/mL and GAG >55 µM suggest the risk of osteoporosis. |
