PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict rotation of an outer mirror by an action of a driving mechanism for rotation on a mirror shaft.SOLUTION: The electrically stored outer mirror 1 is so constructed to be rotated by an electric motor 2 on a mirror shaft 8 as a vertical axis. The electrically stored outer mirror 1 comprises: a rotation axis 4 which is supported by a mirror housing 31 in horizontal direction as its axis direction, integrated with a helical gear 5, and moving in axis direction; a regulating member 21 comprising a projecting part 21a connected to the rotation axis 4 and projecting toward the rotation center; an engagement recessed part 6c engaging with the projecting part 21a; a cylindrical gear 6 engaged with the mirror shaft 8 and meshing with the helical gear 5; and axis progression stopper 33 contacting with the rotation axis 4 to restrict its movement in axis direction. The rotation of the rotation axis 4 around the cylindrical gear 6 is restricted by engagement of the projecting part 21a and engagement recessed part 6c. |
