PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker which is excellent in usability and can make delicious cooked rice with any kind of rice.SOLUTION: A rice cooker includes: a pot-shaped container 5 for accommodating an object to be heated: a main body 1 in which the pot-shaped container is provided; a lid 10 for covering an opening of the pot-shaped container so as to be freely opened and closed: a first heating means 3 for heating the pot-shaped container; a water tank 20 for retaining water to be supplied to the pot-shaped container; a water supply path 12 for supplying water into the pot-shaped container; a second heating means 22 for heating water to be supplied; a rice crackability information detection means for detecting information relating to the crackability of the rice to be detected; and control means 8 for determining the degree of the crackability of the rice by comparing the detected information and a predetermined reference value. The control means controls the second heating means on the basis of the degree of the crackability of the rice so as to adjust the temperature of the water to be supplied into the pot-shaped container. |
