The present invention relates to a news recommendation system and a news recommendation method. The news recommendation system according to the present invention comprises a user interface unit receiving a news storing signal and a news deleting signal for each of one or more recommended news from a user; a behavior detecting unit which classifies each of the one or more recommended news into stored news and deleted news according to the news storing signal and the news deleting signal from the user interface unit; a profile updating unit which generates a positive profile by using the stored news, generates a negative profile by using the deleted news, and updates a state information profile for the user based on the positive and negative profiles; and a news recommending unit which extracts news to be recommended to the user based on the state information profile.
