PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize a coding system for video content in accordance with a network environment estimated from the current position of a viewing terminal, for a video content distribution device that distributes the viewing terminal via a network by coding the video content output from a content player.SOLUTION: In a conversion system selection part 104, a reproduction capability reflection part 104b switches a coding system from a motion-image encode to a motion-image capture if a motion image reproduction capability of a wireless network accommodating a viewing terminal 2 is insufficient. A positional information obtainment part 104c obtains information related to the current position of the viewing terminal 2. An area information obtainment part 104d obtains, for each area (wireless coverage) of the wireless network, a spare status and equipment capacity of a wireless resource, as area information. A reproduction capability estimation part 104e compares the current position information of the viewing terminal 2 to the area information, estimating a motion-image reproduction capability of the wireless network accommodating the viewing terminal 2. |
