Disclosed is an apparatus for removing a foreign material from a zinc plating cooling device. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the disclosed apparatus for removing a foreign material from a zinc plating cooling device comprises a plating bath in which zinc plating is performed; a cooling device cooling a plating solution by performing heat-exchange on the plating solution heated by being plated in the plating bath; a first and a second plating solution circulating line through which the plating solution is circulated between the plating bath and the cooling device; a refrigerating machine supplying a refrigerant to the cooling device to perform heat-exchange on the plating solution; a first and a second refrigerant circulating line through which the refrigerant is circulated between the cooling device and the refrigerating machine; a sensing means for sensing the temperature of the plating solution in the plating bath; a washing means for supplying washing water to the cooling device to remove the foreign material formed on the cooling device; and a control unit controlling the washing operation of the washing water and the cooling operation of the plating solution.
