PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire which can be reduced in rolling resistance by using a cord having a braid structure as a reinforcing cord of a belt reinforcing layer, and which suppresses the occurrence of filament breaks in the reinforcing cord of the belt reinforcing layer and thereby enables excellent durability to be ensured.SOLUTION: In a pneumatic tire in which a belt reinforcing layer 8 including a reinforcing cord oriented in the tire circumferential direction is embedded in a tread part 1, a cord 10 having a braid structure in which three organic fiber multifilament yarns 11 previously dip-treated with an adhesive liquid are braided and having the whole periphery of each organic fiber multifilament yarn 11 covered by an adhesive layer 12 is used as the reinforcing cord of the belt reinforcing layer 8.
