APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ANALYSIS OF HANGHANDWRITING

The present invention provides an apparatus and a method for analyzing syllable unit of Hangul handwriting and capable of comparatively analyzing characteristics between the writers by digitizing syllables through measurement inspection and statistics inspection and by analyzing the position, interval, size, and angle of the respective syllables and the combination, position, size, and interval of consonants and vowels based on the detailed characteristic point analysis of the vowels and the consonants using the shape, angle, length, and grade of the vowels and the consonants. The apparatus comprises a scan processing unit for imaging personal handwriting by scanning the personal handwriting for handwriting analysis; a syllable, vowel, and consonant division unit for recognizing the corresponding handwriting as Hangul by analyzing information processed in the scan processing unit and for dividing the recognized Hangul into syllable units or the vowels and the consonants; a box processing unit for constructing at least one boxes by boxing the syllables or the vowels, and consonants divided into the syllable units and the vowels and consonants unit recognized in the syllable, vowel, and consonant division unit respectively; an analysis calculation unit for analyzing the characteristic points using one among the length, size, and shape of the syllables, the consonants, and the vowels boxed in the box processing unit and for digitizing the syllables, the consonants, and the vowels through the measurement inspection and the statistics inspection of the position, interval, size, combination between the boxes using the analyzed characteristic points; a matching verification unit for confirming a matching state by comparing the information calculated in the analysis calculation unit with the stored confirmation data information corresponding to the personal handwriting scanned to analyze the handwriting; and a storage unit for storing the confirmation data information compared to analyze the handwriting in the matching verification unit.
