PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation device capable of suppressing such an erroneous detection that a detection object located at a position other than an operation area is detected.SOLUTION: An operation device 1, as shown in FIG. 1(a) and FIG. 1(b), includes: a touch panel 2 having a surface 20 divided into an operation area 201 which receives an operation by a finger and a non-operation area which is formed around the operation area 201 and does not receive the operation, and a detection electrode 21a located below the operation area 201; an outer electrode 21b provided below the non-operation area 202 of the touch panel 2; and a control part 6 for determining that the detection object is located in the non-operation area 202 when the detection value obtained from the outer electrode 21b satisfies a predetermined condition. |
