<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the extension of a crack on the edge face of an in-cell type polarizer layer.SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes: a first substrate 30a and a second substrate 20a disposed so as to be faced to each other; a liquid crystal layer 40 disposed between the first substrate 30a and the second substrate 20a; and a seal material 45 disposed to bond the first substrate 30a and the second substrate 20a to each other, and to seal the liquid crystal layer 40 between the first substrate 30a and the second substrate 20a. The first substrate 30a includes a polarizer layer 22 made of a polyvinyl alcohol film disposed at the liquid crystal layer 40 side, and a protection film 23 for covering the polarizer layer 22 is disposed on the first substrate 30a.</p> |
