PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector capable of easily executing position adjustment of optical components.SOLUTION: A projector includes: a light source device; an optical modulation device which modulates light emitted from the light source device; a projection optical device which projects modulated light; a first optical component (an incident side polarizing plate 352) and a second optical component (an optical compensation plate 353) which are arranged on an optical path of the light emitted from the light source device; a first holding member (a polarizing plate holding member 51) which holds the first optical component; a second holding member (a compensation plate holding member 52) which holds the second optical component; and a fitting member 53 in which the first holding member and the second holding member are fitted. The fitting member 53 includes: a first fitting part 532 in which the first holding member is rotatably fitted; and a second fitting part 533 which is positioned on the opposite side of the first fitting part 532, and in which the second holding member is rotatably fitted independently of the first holding member. |
