PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately extract synonyms from the same document including itemizations and tables.SOLUTION: A document recognition support device extracting a synonym of a retrieval object word from a predetermined document includes: a document constitution analysis unit that specifies the constitution relation of the whole document; a synonym extraction unit that extracts the synonym of the retrieval object word from the document with a path extracted from the constitution relation; and an extraction result output unit that outputs the extraction result of the synonym.
