PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device having improved a display performance while attaining high precision.SOLUTION: The display device includes: a plurality of pixels arranged in the form of a matrix at positions where a plurality of control signal lines and a plurality of data signal lines intersect each other; and a plurality of pixel circuits arranged corresponding to each of the plurality of pixels and applied with the data voltage supplied from the data signal line. Each of the plurality of pixel circuits includes: a thin film transistor for controlling writing of the data voltage supplied to the pixels according to the control signal supplied from the control signal line; and a capacitor for retaining the data voltage. The capacitor includes: a projection part having a prescribed height and arranged on the substrate; a first electrode arranged on the projection part; an insulating film arranged on the first electrode; and a second electrode arranged on the insulating film.
