PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus which easily removes periodic noise, such as switching noise, mixing with a transmission pulse in the ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus which uses a switching power supply performing high-frequency operation as a transmission power supply.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus is provided with: an ultrasonic probe having a plurality of ultrasonic vibration elements; a transmission unit which responds to a supplied driving signal to generate a transmission pulse signal every ultrasonic vibration element and supplies it for the respective ultrasonic vibration elements; a switching clock generation circuit for generating a switching clock of prescribed frequency; and a power supply control unit which has a switching power supply unit for generating the driving signal of a prescribed voltage according to the switching clock and a control unit which stops supply of the switching clock for the switching power supply unit at prescribed timing.
