PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction machine capable of suppressing variation in power of an engine, while making use of power generated at a hydraulic motor.SOLUTION: The construction machine includes: an engine (20); a hydraulic pump (18); a hydraulic actuator (10); a hydraulic motor (22); a generator motor (24) having a function, as a motor, for driving the hydraulic pump (18) and a function, as a generator, for generating electric power by at least one of engine power and regenerated power generated at the hydraulic motor (22); a capacitor (26); and a control part (30). When remaining power obtained by subtracting the regenerated power from pump power necessary for drive of the hydraulic pump (18) is equal to or above a predetermined upper limit value of the engine power, the control part (30) makes the generator motor (24) work as the motor by electric power of the capacitor (26), and when the remaining power is equal to or under a predetermined lower limit value of the engine power, makes the generator motor (24) work as the generator. |
