PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress change in distance between a developer conveyance body and a body to be developed.SOLUTION: A developing apparatus includes: a developer conveyance body having a developing drum and a shaft member, which is an extension of a central axis thereof, and conveying developer to a body to be developed by rotation of the developing drum; a cover member having a support member with an insertion hole and a projection to support the shaft member, a through hole through which the shaft member passes, and a hole formed in a position overlapping a first connection part, and fixed to the support member; and a distance maintaining member having a second connection part overlapping the hole, a hollow cylindrical part positioned by a shaft member inserted through the through hole, and an abutment part abutting on a member on the side of the body to be developed with respect to the body to be developed, and configured so that the shaft member passing through the cylindrical part is fixed by a connection member connected to the first and second connection parts to maintain a distance between the body to be developed and the developing drum by means of the abutment part. The through hole formed in the cover member has a diameter larger than the outer diameter of the cylindrical part of the distance maintaining member. |
