<p>Provided are a semiconductor nanocrystal including a group III-V core and a ZnSeS monolayer shell on the surface of the core; and a method for preparing the same. A mole fraction between Se and S in the monolayer shell is from 2:1 to 20:1. One or more additional ZnSeS monolayer shells are formed on the nanocrystal.</p>
