<p>The present invention relates to a composition for preventing, improving, or treating obesity and, more specifically, to a composition which contains a coicis semen complex as an active component, which is extracted by mixing 3-6 wt% of coix, 1.2-3 wt% of ma huang (ephedra), 1.2-3 wt% of angelica, 1.2-3 wt% of white atractylis, 1-2 wt% of a laurel branch, 1-2 wt% of peony, and 0.5-1 wt% of licorice. In order to prevent, improve, or treat obesity, the composition according to the present invention has effects of reducing weight, suppressing the differentiation of an adipocyte precursor cell, reducing the content of leptin in the blood, and increasing HDL cholesterol in the blood and decreasing LDL cholesterol. The composition according to the present invention has effects of suppressing an infection, decreasing blood sugar, reducing lipid content in a liver tissue, reducing the weight of organs, and removing hepatotoxicity and kidney toxicity in order to simultaneously prevent, improve, or treat chronic inflammatory conditions induced by obesity, and fat accumulation in organs, etc.</p> |
