PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the gain control of a reception signal in a more adaptive manner.SOLUTION: A communication device includes an amplifier unit for amplifying the signal level of a reception signal and a transient characteristic control unit for controlling the transient characteristic of the amplifier unit. For example, the transient characteristic control unit can control the transient characteristic according to a broadcast system of the reception signal and a transmission parameter or the like related to the transmission of the reception signal.
