<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable speed control method and a variable speed control device of an electric vehicle capable of reducing a shock torque of a clutch when detecting a quick brake upon power running control or variable speed control of the electric vehicle.SOLUTION: Quick brake judging means 80 judges a quick brake or a quick brake release on the basis of a signal from a quick brake detection part 83. Variable speed control means 81 controls a transmission in accordance with any action of clutch release means 77, synchronizing control means 78 and clutch engagement means 79 when being judged as a quick brake by the quick brake judging means 80 upon power running control or variable speed control of a present variable speed level. Thus, when being judged as a quick brake, the transmission can be controlled finely in accordance with any action of the respective means and, thereby, a shock torque of a clutch when detecting a quick brake upon power running control or variable speed control can be reduced.</p> |
