<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical type washing and drying machine that can effectively dry a laundry during a drying operation and that can switch a drying operation and an indoor warming with easy construction.SOLUTION: A vertical type washing and drying machine comprises an upper surface plate (3) provided at an upper opening of a casing (1) and having a laundry entrance (3a), an upper cover (5) opening and closing the laundry entrance (3a), a washing tank (6) provided in the casing 1, and a drying unit (16) heating and drying an air in the washing tank (6) to blow the air. The machine comprises an air passage (5a) in the upper cover (5), having a blowing outlet (5b) provided at a back surface of the upper cover (5). The air heated and dried at the drying unit (16) is blown from the blowing outlet (5b) through the air passage (5a) within the upper cover (5). Thus, during the drying operation, the heated air is downwardly blown from the blowing outlet (5b) of the closed upper cover (5) to effectively dry the laundry. In addition, during the indoor warming, the heated air is blown forward to the indoor from the blowing outlet (5b) of the opened upper cover (5). The drying operation and the indoor warming can be switched with easy construction.</p> |
