<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably manufacture an intermittent type coated optical fiber tape satisfactory in the dimension accuracy of connection part and non-connection part and also excellent in appearance.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method for an intermittent type coated optical fiber tape comprises: an electrification step in which while four single core coated optical fibers 1 are run in parallel, each single core coated optical fiber 1 is positively charged by a charging part 3; a line collecting and coating step in which first, two central single core coated optical fibers 1 among the four single core coated optical fibers 1 are collected by a first line collecting part 5, then, four single core coated optical fibers including two single core coated optical fibers 1 at both ends are collected in a tape form by a second line collecting part 7, and a place corresponding to the joint of the two adjacent single core coated optical fibers is coated with ultraviolet curable type resin by first and second coating parts 4 and 6; and a curing step in which ultraviolet is emitted to the ultraviolet curable resin by an emitting part 9, thereby curing the resin. In the line collecting and coating step, after the ultraviolet curable type resin is applied between the adjacent two single core coated optical fibers 1 only from one of the sides, the line collecting step is performed.</p> |
