PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress crosstalk between optical signals without using any wide-band monitor.SOLUTION: An optical transmission system 100 includes a plurality of optical signal multiplexers 111 to 11N. The optical signal multiplexers 111 to 11N each multiplex a second optical system whose frequency is adjacent to a first optical signal included in signal light to be multiplxed with the signal light to be multiplexed. The optical signal multiplexers 111 to 11N each monitor a deviation in timing between the first optical signal included in the signal light with which the second optical signal is multiplxed and the second optical signal. The optical signal multiplexers 111 to 11N each adjusts the timing of the second optical signal to be multiplexed with the signal light to be multiplexed based upon a monitoring result.
