PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain energy density from becoming locally high during photoirradiation for photoacoustic tomography.SOLUTION: A subject information acquisition apparatus for use includes: an optical system that forms light from a light source; an outgoing end emits the light; a diffuser that diffuses the emitted light; a spacer that prescribes a distance between the diffuser and a subject; a reception unit that receives an acoustic wave generated from the subject irradiated with the light; and a processing unit that acquires information in the subject on the basis of the acoustic wave. |
