The invention relates to instrument making, in particular to devices for optical radiation modulation and control, and can be used for modulation of high-energy laser radiation, for intracavity q modulation of high-power lasers, in ultraviolet photolithography. An acoustooptic modulator comprises a light emission source, generator of high-frequency electric signals, amplitude modulator, acoustic line, and optoelectronic sensor. To one end of acoustic line a piezoelectric transducer is connected, and to second end an absorption circuit is connected. Lithium caesium borate glass is used as an acoustic line material. This makes it possible to upgrade efficiency and to simplify acoustooptic modulator fabrication technique. |
