The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for transmitting a reference signal in a multi-antenna system. The present invention provides a method for receiving the reference signal, which comprises the steps of receiving first channel state information-reference signal (CSI-RS) configuration information and second CSI-RS configuration information from a base station, wherein the first CSI-RS configuration information includes an individual parameter needed in a terminal receiving the first CSI-RS from a horizontally representative antenna horizontally adjacent among all the transmission antennas of the base station and the second CSI-RS configuration information includes an individual parameter needed in the terminal receiving the second CSI-RS from a vertically representative antenna vertically adjacent; and receiving the first and the second CSI-RS from the base station based on the first and the second CSI-RS configuration information, respectively. |
