PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately discriminate a normal cam angle signal from noise in a situation when a crank angle signal cannot be received.SOLUTION: Lapsed time Tbetween a present signal Greceived through a cam angle signal line and a last normal cam angle signal Greceived through the same line is found out and lapsed time Tbetween the last normal cam angle signal Greceived through the same line and a normal cam angle signal Greceived at the time before the last is found out. A ratio T/Tof the former lapsed time Tto the latter lapsed time Tis compared with a determination value set in accordance with a level of a rotational speed of an engine estimated based on a normal cam angle signal g string to discriminate whether the present signal Gis the normal cam angle signal g or noise. |
