PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curtain airbag device for a vehicle surely capable of deploying and inflating a front part of a curtain airbag preceding a rear part on supposition that inflator gas is introduced from the rear part of the curtain airbag, and securing an occupant protection performance even in the rear part of the curtain airbag whose deployment and inflation timing is delayed.SOLUTION: The curtain airbag device for a vehicle includes: a curtain airbag 2 including a front chamber region C1, a gas introduction passage D located on the rear upper part of a vehicle and communicated with the front chamber region, and a rear chamber region C2 located below the gas introduction passage and communicated with the front chamber region; a seam 10 partitioning between the gas introduction passage and the rear chamber region; an inflator 3 for introducing inflator gas into the gas introduction passage from the rear side of the vehicle; an additional bag 4 fitted and supported on the curtain airbag and disposed outside the bag in alignment with a position covering the seam; and a communication passage 18 communicating the additional bag with the gas introduction passage. |
