PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing sanitation paper in which liquid sagging and a poor appearance are hard to be generated in the case a water-soluble feeling improvement agent is applied on-line to a web by a paper machine.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing sanitation paper in which the surface of base paper for tissue paper or toilet paper is coated with a feeling improvement agent including a water-soluble softener and/or a water-soluble humectant. In the papermaking process of the base paper, a plurality of orifices with a diameter of 0.5 to 2.0 mm separated at the spacing of 3.2 to 10 mm, respectively in a direction vertical to a coiling direction are contacted with at least one side of the base paper between reels of reeling the base paper from the outlet of a yankee drier, and the feeling improvement agent is discharged from the orifices.
