PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relevant information providing system by an IC tag for allowing a portable terminal to read relevant information from an IC tag attached to specific merchandise, and to automatically perform access to a server to acquire the recorded relevant information.SOLUTION: The relevant information providing system includes: an IC tag 20 attached to specific merchandise 10; a portable terminal 30 having reading means R/W for reading the relevant information of the specific merchandise 10 recorded in the IC tag 20, display means DA for reproducing and displaying the relevant information and transmission/reception means connected to a communication line 50; and servers 61 and 62 connected via the communication line 50 to the portable terminal 30 for recording the relevant information of the specific merchandise 10. When the portable terminal 30 is connected to servers 61 and 62 on the basis of the read relevant information, the servers 61 and 62 update the recorded relevant information of the specific merchandise 10, and allows the portable terminal 30 to display the relevant information of the specific merchandise 10. |
