PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axial flow turbine capable of improving mixing loss reduction effect.SOLUTION: An axial flow turbine includes: a plurality of stationary vanes 2 disposed at an inner peripheral side of a diaphragm outer ring 1; a plurality of rotor vanes 5 disposed at an outer peripheral side of a rotor 4; a shroud 6 disposed at an outer peripheral side of the plurality of rotor vanes 5; an annular groove portion 12 formed on the diaphragm outer ring 1 and accommodating the shroud 6; a clearance flow path 13 formed between the groove portion 12 of the diaphragm outer ring 1 and the shroud 6 to allow a part of a working fluid to flow therein from a downstream side of the stationary vanes 2 of a main path 7, and flow out to a downstream side of the rotor vanes 5 of the main path 7; seal fins 14A-14D disposed in the clearance flow path 13; a circulation flow generation chamber 17 formed at a downstream side of the clearance flow path 13; and a plurality of shielding plates 18 fixed to the diaphragm outer ring 1 to be positioned in the circulation flow generation chamber 17, and extended in an axial direction and a radial direction of the rotor. |
