<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting diode excellent in sealing performance, heat resistance, light extraction efficiency, emission luminance, and the like.SOLUTION: The light-emitting diode including a die bond, a light-emitting element, and a sealing layer is characterized in that: the sealing layer comprises an organic resin and zirconia fine particles surface-treated with an organosilicon compound; the surface-treated zirconia fine particles have an average secondary particle diameter (D) in the range of 5-50 nm and an average primary particle diameter (D) in the range of 5-50 nm; and the ratio (D)/(D) of the average secondary particle diameter (D) to the average primary particle diameter (D) is in the range of 1-10.</p> |
