PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a static decay heat removal system and nuclear power plant facilities capable of alleviating rise in pressure in a reactor containment vessel, even if a coolant fails to be supplied to a reactor pressure vessel for some reason during a tube rupture accident in the reactor pressure vessel.SOLUTION: A static decay heat removal system comprises: a heat exchanger provided above a reactor containment vessel; a water storage tank placed below the heat exchanger and above the height of an upper end of a core in the reactor pressure vessel; a noncondensable gas discharge tube whose one end is connected to an upper side of the water storage tank and whose other end is connected to a pressure suppression pool; a second condensed water discharge tube whose one end is connected to a lower side below the portion connected with the one end of the noncondensable gas discharge tube of the water storage tank and whose other end is connected to the pressure suppression pool; and a condensed water return tube whose one end is connected to a lower side below the portion connected with the one end of the second condensed water discharge tube of the water storage tank and whose other end is connected to a side of the reactor pressure vessel that is an upper side above the upper end of the core. |
