APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR INSPECTING ROPE TENSION OF ELEVATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem caused when ropes are not arranged in the same plane and a distance between the ropes is different or the arrangement is staggered, in which the adjustment of a measurement device is needed in conformity with the distance between the ropes upon inspecting a tension difference of several ropes and thereby the time for inspection is required.SOLUTION: An apparatus for inspecting rope tension of an elevator includes: a traction member engaged with ropes and pulling the ropes in the direction vertical to the longitudinal direction; a wire for connecting two traction members with the tailing at the side opposite to the ropes of the traction members; and a sheave where the wire hangs. The presence or absence of a tension difference between two ropes is measured by pulling the sheave in the direction vertical to the longitudinal direction of the ropes.
