PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a base tread capable of improving low fuel consumption properties and fracture strength in a good balance.SOLUTION: A rubber composition for a base tread contains a rubber component, silica and a silane coupling agent having a mercapto group, and has the content of a conjugated diene polymer having a monomer unit based on a conjugated diene, a monomer unit based on a compound represented by the formula (1), and a monomer unit based on a compound represented by the formula (2), and of which at least a part is modified by the compound (G) of 5 mass% or more in 100 mass% of the rubber component and the content of the silica of 5 to 150 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the rubber component. Compound (G): at least a compound selected from a compound group comprising a compound having an amino group and a carbonyl group, and a compound having an amino group and a thiocarbonyl group may have a substituent. |
