METHOD OF MOUNTING A COLLET TO A PICKUP HEAD

A pickup unit comprises: a collet which includes multiple adsorbing holes; a pickup head which includes a pneumatic pipe for providing vacuum through the adsorbing holes, and where the collet is mounted; and a pickup body where the pickup head is mounted and which is mounted in a die transfer unit that is to move the die, in order to elastically move in a vertical direction. The pickup head has a flat bottom surface where the collet is mounted and has a permanent magnet for grasping the collet. A method for mounting a collet in a pickup head comprises as follows: a step of preparing a panel which has a first area placed in a collect; a step of lowering a pickup head to a preset position so that the collect can be mounted in the bottom surface of the pickup head and an elastic displacement can occur in a vertical direction between a die transfer unit and a pickup body; and a step of determining whether or not the collet is normally mounted in the pickup head by comparing the displacement with a preset value.
