A portable terminal is provided to offer an improved interface environment in processing broadcast data or multimedia data by presenting a mode transfer part which is exposed as the first body gets shifted by stages. A portable terminal(1) comprises the first body(10), the second body(30), a mode transfer part(40), and a keypad. At the front side of the first body, a display(11) is arranged. The second body is combined with the first body so as to make a sliding motion by stages. The mode transfer part, installed at the second body, is exposed when the first body is slid to the first stage. The mode transfer part consists of a mode transfer body(41) and a wheel(42). The mode transfer body is installed at a side of the second body. The wheel is rotatively installed with a rotation axis, perpendicular to the front side of the mode transfer body, in the center. If the first body is slid from the first stage to the second stage, the keypad is exposed. |
