Disclosed are a system and a method of diagnosing a status. The system for diagnosing the status according to an embodiment of the present invention includes an inference model generating unit for generating an inference model including nodes having at least one conditional equation by using data collected for a predetermined period of time and status values according to the collected data; an inference model correcting unit for correcting an inference model to improve the precision of the inference model; and a status inferring unit for inferring a status value for each data input by substituting input data into the corrected inference model.
