A display can be installed on an electronic device. A backlight structure can be used to provide the back-lighting for the display. The backlight structure can include a light guide plate. The light guide plate can include a flat surface extension unit guiding the light along the rear direction of the display and at least one integrated edge reflector along one or more edges of the flat surface extension unit. The flat surface extension unit and the integrated edge reflector can be respectively formed by a first and second shot of the materials. The integrated edge reflector can be made of a polymer material including a reflection structure such as glass microbeads or other oxide particles. The backlight structure can include a reflection layer attached on the integrated edge reflector of the light guide plate by using an adhesive. The display can include active display pixels formed on a part of the integrated edge reflector. |
