The present invention relates to a terminal and an operating method thereof, and particularly, to a terminal and an operating method thereof recognizing opening/closing of a door installed in a closed space as a user input. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the terminal operating method for recognizing opening/closing of a door in a closed space in which a terminal is located, and controlling an operation of a terminal, includes the steps of detecting atmospheric pressure variation; comparing the detected atmospheric pressure variation with a reference variation; and recognizing opening or closing of the door in the closed space, when the atmospheric pressure variation is greater than the reference variation. According to the terminal and the operation method thereof, various kinds of input signals can be recognized by an atmospheric pressure sensor. |
