The method involves connecting connectors (CN1-CN3) between an electrical supply equipment (CH) and a power supply station (PR) so as to supply the electrical supply equipment with a sum of currents supplied through the connectors. Each connector comprises power outlets (PV1-PV3) connected to the electrical supply equipment and/or the power supply station. Current flowing in each connection defined by the connector and the power outlet, is determined. Total maximum current that flows through the connectors depending on the determined flowing current, is determined. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for connecting an electrical supply equipment of a battery management system of a vehicle (2) a battery management system.
