Disclosed is an air conditioner for vehicles, which does not affect the flow of an air conditioning air in order not to cause the loss of air volume and noise and has a fragrance generator installed at the optimal location in the air conditioner for an easy access and the improvement of A/S performance. The air conditioner for vehicles comprises a ventilation fan, which is rotated by a motor; a blower unit, which inhales inside or outside air to blow the air to the inside of an air conditioning case; cooling and heating units, which are installed inside the air conditioning case to cool the air inside vehicles; and the fragrance generator, which mixes fragrance with the air discharged to the inside of the vehicles through the air conditioning case. The fragrance generator is equipped with a supply pipe to inhale air and a discharge pipe to discharge the air. The supply pipe and the discharge pipe are connected to a cooling hole to cool the motor. Accordingly, the air, which flows inside a blower unit and the air conditioning case, is not affected so that the air volume of the air conditioner can be prevented from being reduced and noises can be totally prevented. Also, the air conditioner according to the present invention has a fragrance cartridge which can be easily replaced, thereby improving the A/S performance of the fragrance generator.
